Clinical Medicine (MBBS)

Hold a valid foreign ordinary passport, be a non-Chinese citizen in good physical and mental health, and be a high-school graduate or graduating student with good academic performance. The guide lists ages 18–30 before 2027-09-01 and separately asks under-18 applicants for a guardian guarantee; the university must determine the age boundary.

Certain applicants with Chinese family or nationality backgrounds face the special nationality review in section I(2), including applicable four-year passport/nationality evidence and at least two years of actual residence abroad in the preceding four years, assessed before April 30 of the application year. If these conditions may apply to you, ask XMU to confirm the documents you need.

Selection is competitive after eligibility and academic review. Departments may require a remote written test or interview; the university decides admission after reviewing your application.

Language evidence: TOEFL iBT 80+ or IELTS Academic 6.0+; English-medium high-school evidence or an XMU-recognized equivalent may be used. Applicants from countries where English is an official language are exempt from English proficiency evidence.

Xiamen University international bachelor's program, self-funded; English-medium, 6 years, Xiang'an Campus. Tuition: CNY 38000 per academic year. The separate CNY 400 application fee is non-refundable; fees remain subject to official approval.

Scholarships: The 2027 guide lists XMU new-student and Fujian scholarships with a 2027-04-30 deadline. Detailed pages still describe 2026. CSCA: Submit a score report. XMU's 2027 science/engineering/agriculture/medicine table requires Mathematics (paper language matching instruction), STEM Chinese, and at least one of Physics or Chemistry (both are allowed). A STEM Chinese exemption for this program and a minimum score have not been confirmed. If you think an exemption applies to you, ask XMU before choosing your exam subjects.
