北京理工大学创立于1940年，是中国国家重点建设大学，首批进入国家“211工程”、“985工程”和“世界一流大学”建设高校行列。学校在2026QS世界大学排名位列第259位，2025年世界大学学术排名（ARWU）位列第102位，U.S. News 2025-2026最佳世界大学排名位列156名，2026泰晤士高等教育（THE）世界大学排名位列第236名。2022年QS全球毕业生就业竞争力排名位居中国大陆高校第9位。通过中国教育部来华留学生高等教育质量再认证，获评全国首个A+等级。
北京理工大学珠海校区始建于2001年，是北京理工大学在粤港澳大湾区建设的高水平国际化校区。地处粤港澳大湾区“黄金内湾”、珠海国家高新区核心创新带，毗邻广深、直连港澳，交通便利，环境优美。秉承“智汇、多元、融合、绽放”的办学理念，着力打造具有湾区特色、北理品牌的来华留学教育体系。目前，北京和珠海校区总计在校国际学生已超过4000人，来自152个国家。
Founded in 1940, Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT) is a top national university in China, recognized under the prestigious “211 Project,” “985 Project,” and “Double First-Class” initiatives. BIT enjoys a strong reputation both domestically and internationally, as reflected in a series of notable rankings: 259th in the 2026 QS World University Rankings, within the top 102 in the 2025 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), 156th in the 2025 U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities Rankings, and 236th in the 2026 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings. In addition, BIT ranked 9th among universities in the Chinese Mainland in the QS Global Graduate Employability Rankings 2022. Founded in 2001, Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai (BIT Zhuhai) is a high-level international campus established in the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area by Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT).
