III. Applicant Eligibility

1. Citizenship of a Belt and Road country, good health, a valid foreign passport, and compliance with Chinese government laws and regulations and university rules.
2. Doctoral applicants must hold a master’s degree and generally be no older than 40.
3. Academic results, academic ability and language proficiency must meet the intended program’s admission requirements.
4. Good character, with no illegal or criminal conduct or adverse credit history in the home country or China, reliable financial support and a guarantor for affairs in China.

April 15 each year.

V. Application Documents

1. Beijing Technology and Business University International Student Admission Application Form, printed directly from the online application system at http://admission.btbu.edu.cn. Be sure to upload a photograph.
2. Personal CV.
3. Authenticated highest qualification and transcripts. Doctoral applicants must provide both master’s and undergraduate transcripts.
4. Copy of the identification page of a valid ordinary passport.
5. Foreigner Physical Examination Form, downloadable from the BTBU online system. Results are valid for 6 months; schedule the examination accordingly.
6. Applicants for Chinese-taught degree programs must submit an original or copy of HSK Level 5, or new HSK Level 4 with at least 210 points. Special exemptions follow the actual circumstances where applicable.
7. Non-native English speakers applying for entirely English-taught programs must provide TOEFL iBT at least 70, IELTS at least 5.5, or other evidence of English proficiency.
8. Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form; BTBU’s CSC code is 10011.
9. Two recommendation letters.
10. Personal study plan exceeding 400 words.
11. Draft research paper.
12. All documents in languages other than Chinese or English require authenticated Chinese or English translations.

VI. Application Procedure

1. Apply and submit materials to BTBU.
2. BTBU reviews materials and arranges interviews.
3. BTBU recommends eligible applicants to CSC.
4. CSC reviews, informs BTBU of admission results and issues admission documents.
5. BTBU notifies students and mails admission materials.
