How do I start an undergraduate application to China?

Start with a program you would like to study, then check its current requirements directly with the university. A university directory helps you find options; it does not confirm that a program is recruiting for your intended year.

  1. Choose your intended degree level and study area. This website currently focuses on undergraduate options.
  2. Decide which teaching languages you can study in. The language of instruction and the required language-test score are different things.
  3. Set a tuition budget, then ask about accommodation, insurance and living costs separately.
  4. Identify your intended admission year and funding route. A scholarship application can have different requirements and deadlines from direct admission.

Explore undergraduate programs

Find the current international undergraduate admission notice and confirm:

  • The exact program name, campus, degree and teaching language.
  • Whether the program is open for your admission year and application route.
  • Nationality, education, age and language requirements that apply to you.
  • Required CSCA subjects and paper languages, where applicable.
  • Documents, application dates, fees and the official application system.

If a directory entry does not state a requirement, ask the university. Do not interpret a blank field as “not required”.

Prepare a shortlist, record the official requirements for each program, and arrange any tests or document preparation early enough for that program’s deadline. Keep a copy of the notice you relied on, including its year and publication date.

Prepare your documents · Understand CSCA subject selection

Use CampusChina to explore the directory and scholarship policies, the intended university’s official admission website for its current requirements, and CSCA for exam arrangements. This guide is a preparation sequence, not a university-specific admission notice.
