China Pharmaceutical University Nanjing Municipal Government Scholarship

Established by the Nanjing Municipal Government in Jiangsu, this scholarship supports outstanding international students in study and research in Nanjing. Entrusted by the municipal government, China Pharmaceutical University recruits outstanding scholarship students worldwide.

I. Categories and Awards

Note: Mainly open to new students, with a scholarship period of 1 year. Current students may also apply and will be assessed on the previous year’s results and conduct.

II. Requirements

1. Foreign citizenship, friendliness toward China and good health.
2. Qualifications and age:
   • Undergraduate: qualification or certificate equivalent to Chinese senior high school graduation, generally no older than 25.
   • Master’s: bachelor’s degree or equivalent, generally no older than 35.
   • Doctoral: master’s degree or equivalent, generally no older than 40.
   • Visiting students must hold a bachelor’s degree.
3. Excellent academic results.
4. Some research ability.

IV. Documents

Prepare and mail the following to the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation in duplicate. Materials will not be returned.

1. Completed Nanjing Municipal Government Scholarship for International Students Application Form.
2. Completed China Pharmaceutical University International Student Application Form.
3. Passport copy.
4. Copies of notarized qualifications and transcripts. Current students or employed applicants must provide enrollment or employment evidence. If originals are not in Chinese or English, attach translations.
5. Appropriate language evidence for Chinese-taught students.
6. Study or research plan of at least 800 words in Chinese or English.
7. Recommendations from 2 professors or associate professors, in Chinese or English, including signatures, telephone numbers and email addresses.
8. Copies of published academic papers or other academic awards, if applicable.
9. Copy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form.

All examinations listed must be completed. Missing items, the attending doctor’s signature or the hospital’s official seal, or the absence of the applicant’s photograph bearing a seal, invalidate the form. Results are valid for 6 months, which applicants must consider when scheduling examinations.

All documents must be in Chinese or English; originals in other languages require Chinese or English translations.

VII. Admission

1. CPU reviews all materials and assesses scholarships based on overall competitiveness, academic results and other abilities.
2. Candidates must pay the deposit within the period specified in their pre-acceptance letter. The university issues the Admission Notice and visa application form after confirming payment.
3. Failure to pay the deposit or register on time cancels the scholarship place.
