II. Available Programs

All master’s and doctoral programs at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University.

III. Duration

1. Master’s: 3 years.
2. Doctoral: 3.5 years.

IV. Requirements

1. Basic requirements:

• Master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, provide recommendations from 2 professors or associate professors, and be no older than 35.
• Doctoral applicants must hold a master’s degree or equivalent, provide recommendations from 2 professors or associate professors, and be no older than 40.

2. Language requirements:

Chinese-taught programs:

• Arts: new HSK Level 4, at least 180.
• Science, engineering, economics and management: new HSK Level 4, at least 195.
• Literature and law: new HSK Level 4, at least 210.

English-taught applicants must meet at least one:

• English as a native language.
• High school or university education taught in English.
• TOEFL at least 80 iBT or 550 PBT.
• IELTS at least 5.5.

3. Other requirements:

• Foreign nationality and passport, friendliness toward China, and good physical and mental health.
• Good conduct and willingness to observe Chinese laws and university rules.
• Strong results in the previous stage of study.
• No simultaneous Chinese Government, Zhejiang Provincial Government or other scholarship.

VI. Procedure and Routes

1. Mail materials to International Students Office, Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Room 229, Administration Building, No. 2 Street, Xiasha Higher Education Park, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, postal code 310018.
2. Send scans or electronic copies to admission2@zstu.edu.cn.

VII. Documents

1. Zhejiang Sci-Tech University President Scholarship for International Students Application Form, completed in Chinese or English.
2. Passport copy.
3. Notarized highest qualification. Current students must also provide enrollment evidence. Other languages require notarized Chinese or English translations.
4. University transcripts, with notarized Chinese or English translations for other languages.
5. A study or research plan for China in Chinese or English, including education and employment history, academic achievements, intended master’s or doctoral research field and plan, and post-graduation development goals.
6. Recommendations from two professors or associate professors, in Chinese or English.
7. Copy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form, uniformly printed by Chinese health and quarantine authorities, completed in Chinese or English. Complete every required examination. Missing items, an absent photograph or cross-photo seal, or absent physician and hospital signatures and seals invalidate the form. Results are valid for 6 months; schedule accordingly.
8. Language results such as HSK, TOEFL or IELTS.
9. Published papers or other academic achievements, if any.
10. Other required documents as notified at the time.
