Guangxi University Junwu Doctoral Scholarship for International Students

1. Coverage and Standards

Tuition exemption, free comprehensive insurance, a free single room and RMB 2000 monthly living allowance. Total funding may be adjusted if the university changes international student tuition or accommodation charges.

2. Available Programs

All Guangxi University doctoral programs, each lasting three years.

3. Eligibility

1. Non-Chinese citizenship and good health.
2. A master’s degree and age no greater than 45. Admitted final-year master’s students must provide their master’s degree certificate or evidence of a successful thesis defense before enrollment.
3. Submit materials according to the relevant admissions prospectus. Students who have already applied for Chinese Government or Chinese local government scholarships may not apply for this scholarship.
4. High Chinese or English proficiency. Priority goes to applicants with previous study experience in China or from countries where English is a native or official language.
5. Priority for science, engineering and agriculture applicants.

March-June each year.

Alongside paper documents, applicants may use the International Education College’s online application system at http://gjy.gxu.edu.cn/templates/cn/studentlogin.aspx and attach materials to the online form.

1. Guangxi University Junwu Doctoral Scholarship for International Students Application Form, completed in Chinese or English; see attachment and download from the International Education College website.
2. Notarized master’s qualification and master’s transcripts in Chinese or English.
3. Study and research plan for China in Chinese or English.
4. Two recommendation letters in Chinese or English from professors or people with equivalent titles.
5. Foreigner Physical Examination Form, completed in Chinese or English.
