Scholarships for undergraduate students

1. Admission Scholarship

Applicants with a new HSK Level 5 score of 180 at undergraduate entry receive a 10% tuition reduction for their first semester.

Applicants with a new HSK Level 6 score of 180 at undergraduate entry receive a 15% tuition reduction for their first semester.

Tuition reduction benefits cannot be combined. International class students are excluded from selection.

2. Academic Excellence Scholarship

First prize: RMB 1500 per undergraduate per year.

Second prize: RMB 1000 per undergraduate per year.

Third prize: RMB 800 per undergraduate per year.

3. Outstanding Student Leader Award: RMB 800 per person.

4. HSK Achievement Award

Undergraduates who obtain a new HSK Level 6 pass certificate while studying at the university, excluding those scheduled to graduate, may receive RMB 800.

5. Outstanding Performance Award

For international students who perform exceptionally in study, sports, arts or other areas, place in competitions at provincial level or above, and earn special honors for the university.

Scholarships for master’s and doctoral students

1. Admission Scholarship

Master’s and doctoral entrants with a new HSK Level 6 score of 180 receive a 10% tuition reduction for their first semester.

Tuition reduction benefits cannot be combined.

2. Academic Excellence Scholarship

First prize: RMB 2000 per postgraduate per year.

Second prize: RMB 1500 per postgraduate per year.

Third prize: RMB 1200 per postgraduate per year.

3. Outstanding Student Leader Award: RMB 800 per person.

4. Outstanding Performance Award

For international students who perform exceptionally in study, sports, arts or other areas, place in competitions at provincial level or above, and earn special honors for the university.

5. Scholarship for Outstanding Overseas Doctoral Students

Each year, the School of Space Science and Physics selects 3-6 outstanding international students in its fully English-taught doctoral programs in Theoretical Physics, Geophysics, and Particle Physics and Nuclear Physics who have not received government scholarships. Awards are approximately RMB 3000-5000/month, paid for 11 months each year.

6. Chinese Government Scholarship—University Independent Admission Program

A full scholarship provided by China’s Ministry of Education for selected Chinese universities to directly select and admit outstanding young international students to postgraduate degrees in China. It admits master’s and doctoral students only. Details:

7. Confucius China Studies Program Scholarship

Scholarships for language students

1. HSK Achievement Award: language students who obtain a new HSK Level 6 pass certificate while studying at the university may receive RMB 800.
