Xi'an Shiyou University Scholarship

1. Scholarship coverage and amounts

The New International Student Scholarship encourages outstanding international undergraduate and master’s applicants from around the world to apply to Xi’an Shiyou University. It offers 70 places annually. First prize waives tuition and accommodation fees; second prize waives tuition; third prize waives 50% of tuition.

2. Available programs

All Chinese- and English-taught undergraduate and master’s programs accept applications. Undergraduate study lasts 2 years and master’s study 3 years.

3. Eligibility

Master’s applicants: non-Chinese citizens in good health, holding a bachelor’s degree and no older than 35.

Undergraduate applicants: non-Chinese citizens in good health, holding a high-school graduation certificate and no older than 30.

4. Application dates

March 1-August 30 each year.

5. Application procedure

Access the online application system at http://xsyu.edu.cn/lxsgl and select “I want to apply for the Xi’an Shiyou University Scholarship.”

6. Required documents

(1) Xi’an Shiyou University Admission Application Form, generated automatically after completing the online information.

(2) Passport.

(3) Notarized highest academic qualification certificate. Currently enrolled applicants must also submit proof of enrollment from their institution.

(4) Academic transcripts.

(5) Master’s applicants must submit a study or research plan for China in English, at least 500 words.

(6) Master’s applicants must provide recommendations from two professors or associate professors.
