1. Overview

The Jiangsu Provincial Government established the Jiangsu Provincial Government Jasmine Scholarship to develop international student education, increase Jiangsu higher education’s international appeal, build the Study in Jiangsu identity and make Jiangsu a major destination for overseas students studying in China.

It mainly supports outstanding international students and scholars pursuing full-time degrees at Jiangsu higher education institutions, and international visiting and exchange students attending Jiangsu universities under sister-province or sister-state framework agreements. 2. Funding standards

Full scholarship

1. Tuition reduction or waiver.
2. Basic textbook expenses.
3. Accommodation: Free on-campus accommodation or an allowance of RMB 10000/year.
4. Basic living allowance: RMB 1500 per person per month.
5. Comprehensive medical insurance for international students in China.

Partial scholarship

Undergraduate/postgraduate students: RMB 30000, for 1 academic year.

All university programs except foreign language programs.

4. Eligibility

• Undergraduate applicants must have graduated from high school and generally be no older than 30.
• Master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree and generally be no older than 35.
• Doctoral applicants must hold a master’s degree and generally be no older than 40.
• Comply with Chinese laws and regulations and meet the chosen institution’s admission requirements.
• Have a positive learning attitude and good academic results.
• Have received no scholarship from the Chinese Government or another organization.

5. Language requirements
