Tianjin University School of Chemical Engineering and Technology Special Scholarship for International Students

I. Scholarship overview

The School of Chemical Engineering and Technology established this scholarship for outstanding international students pursuing undergraduate programs at the school. It has first and second levels, supporting tuition and living allowances during study in China:

II. Eligibility

1. Non-Chinese citizens with a valid foreign passport and good health.
2. Undergraduate applicants must have a recognized high-school graduation certificate and be aged 18-35.

III. Required documents

Applicants must truthfully complete and submit:

1. Tianjin University International Student Admission Application Form and Tianjin University International Student Scholarship Application Form (Chemical Engineering), typed in Chinese or English with photographs attached.
2. Notarized highest qualification certificate. Currently enrolled applicants must submit expected-graduation certification and provide an original or notarized qualification certificate after admission. Employed applicants must provide employer-issued proof of employment. Documents not in Chinese or English require notarized Chinese or English translations.
3. Academic transcripts, with notarized Chinese or English translations where required.
4. Passport copy.
5. For Chinese-taught programs, HSK Level 4 at 180 or above. For English-taught programs, TOEFL 80 or IELTS 6.0; applicants may alternatively take Tianjin University’s own language proficiency test.
6. Certificate of no criminal record.

IV. Application procedure

1. Complete the International Student Admission Application Form and Scholarship Application Form (Chemical Engineering).
2. Before April 30 each year, submit the forms and other documents, one original and one copy, to the International Admissions Office.
3. The university announces admissions by the end of July each year.
4. Admitted applicants receive an Admission Notice and Visa Application for Study in China (JW202).
5. Register at the university at the time stated in the Admission Notice.
