Wenzhou University President Scholarship Full Award, Category I

Coverage and Standards: Established in 2016, the President Scholarship offers 100 places annually to attract university graduates with outstanding language skills and disciplinary backgrounds to English-taught undergraduate and master’s programs. Category I waives tuition and accommodation in the first year. From the second year through graduation, annual review of the previous year’s conduct, results and abilities determines the award level:

• First class: full tuition and accommodation exemption for one academic year.
• Second class: two-thirds, 2/3, tuition exemption and 50% accommodation exemption for one academic year.
• Third class: one-third, 1/3, tuition exemption for one academic year.

Eligibility:

1. Foreign citizenship and good health.
2. Commitment to Chinese laws and university rules, good conduct and friendliness toward China.
3. Undergraduate applicants need high school graduation and should generally be no older than 25; master’s applicants need a bachelor’s degree and should generally be no older than 40.
4. A positive learning attitude and excellent results.
5. Admission as a new Wenzhou University student for the current year.

Deadline: Submit the following to the relevant International Students Office before May 10 each year. The normal degree admission deadline is the end of July.

6. Wenzhou University Category A International Student Scholarship Application Form in Chinese or English.
7. Notarized highest qualification. Current students also need enrollment evidence. Other languages require notarized Chinese or English translations.
8. Official transcript from the current institution, with notarized Chinese or English translations for other languages.
9. Personal statement in Chinese or English covering education and employment, study purpose and plan, research direction and post-graduation development.
10. Two professor or associate professor recommendations from the graduating institution, in Chinese or English.
11. Original work for design applicants.
12. Health certificate copy, with notarized Chinese or English translation for other languages.
13. Certificates or materials demonstrating outstanding performance, with notarized Chinese or English translations for other languages.
