Xidian University Huashan Scholarship

The Huashan Scholarship supports outstanding overseas students at Xidian University and encourages international students to work diligently and complete study with excellent results.

I. Coverage and Standards

1. First class, amounts in RMB:

• Tuition exemption.
• Free on-campus accommodation.
• Monthly living allowance: RMB 1,000 for undergraduates and master’s students, RMB 1,200 for doctoral students.

2. Second class: tuition exemption.

3. Third class: half a year’s tuition exemption.

II. Eligibility

1. Qualification requirements:

Undergraduate: notarized high school graduation evidence and transcripts from the institution attended before China, averaging at least 85. Chinese-taught applicants need HSK Level 4 with at least 180. Entirely English-taught applicants need IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 80, equivalent home-country English proficiency, or a top-10% ranking in their year.

Master’s: notarized undergraduate qualification/degree and transcripts from the institution attended before China, averaging at least 85. Chinese-taught applicants need HSK Level 4 with at least 180. Entirely English-taught applicants need IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 80, equivalent home-country English proficiency, or a top-10% ranking in their program.

Doctoral: notarized master’s qualification/degree and transcripts from the institution attended before China, averaging at least 85. Chinese-taught applicants need HSK Level 4 with at least 180. Entirely English-taught applicants need IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 80, equivalent home-country English proficiency, or a top-10% ranking in their program.

2. Not receiving another scholarship.

1. Request the Huashan Scholarship International Student Application Form from the School of International Education or download it from .

V. Documents

Complete and submit truthfully:

1. Huashan Scholarship application form.
2. Highest degree evidence.
3. Original transcripts for all courses.
4. Recommendation letter.
5. Study or research plan in Chinese or English, at least 800 words.
