Yanshan University Master's Scholarship for International Students

I. Category, duration and language

1. Master’s students only. Study lasts 3 years, with an optional application for 1 year of Chinese preparation.
2. Instruction is in Chinese or English.

II. Eligibility

1. Be healthy, have foreign nationality and hold a foreign passport.
2. Hold a bachelor’s degree and be no older than 35.
3. Not receive a Chinese Government Scholarship, Confucius Institute Scholarship or any other scholarship.

III. Coverage

• First prize: application, tuition and accommodation fee waivers.
• Second prize: application and tuition fee waivers.

IV. Documents

1. Yanshan University Scholarship Application Form.
2. Passport copy.
3. Yanshan University International Student Admission Application Form, with photograph.
4. Notarized copies of the highest qualification certificate and transcripts.
5. Curriculum vitae.
6. Foreigner Physical Examination Record.
7. Chinese-taught programs: copy of new HSK Level 5 or above. English-taught programs: IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 85.
8. Personal statement.
9. Recommendations from two scholars of associate professor rank or above.

V. Application period

December 20-May 20 each year.
