Shanghai International Studies University Scholarship

Coverage and amounts

The university established the Outstanding International Student Scholarship to develop international student education, help students with excellent character and results complete their studies, encourage diligence and progress, and promote all-round development. First prize is RMB 30000/person for doctoral students. Second prize is RMB 20000/person for doctoral, master’s and enrolled undergraduate students. Third prize is RMB 5000/person for the same categories.

Eligibility

Self-funded international degree students with excellent character and results, including newly admitted non-Chinese undergraduate, master’s and doctoral applicants in the current year, called new students below, and enrolled non-Chinese undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students within standard study duration, called continuing students.

Applicants must receive no other scholarship that year, comply with Chinese laws and university rules, respect teaching arrangements, have good results and attendance, and actively participate in public-interest and social practice activities organized in Shanghai and by the university.
