Fujian Medical University Scholarship for Outstanding International Clinical Interns

1. Coverage and amounts

The university established this scholarship to develop international students who understand and are friendly toward China, obey rules and laws, study diligently and seek progress, and to encourage self-funded international undergraduates to study and undertake clinical internships conscientiously and achieve continual improvement and excellent results. Each award is RMB 2000/person. Each selection covers 10% of clinical interns at each hospital.

2. Eligible programs/students

Registered full-time, self-funded international undergraduates.

3. Eligibility

(1) Comply with Chinese laws and regulations and university and Overseas Education College rules.

(2) No warning or more severe sanction for university rule violations during the award period.

(3) No unpaid tuition, accommodation, insurance or other fees during the award period.

(4) End-of-rotation examination scores are the main selection basis, ranked highest to lowest, with higher ranks receiving priority.

(5) Pass all end-of-rotation assessments, with no missed examination or resit.

(6) Complete all internship syllabus requirements conscientiously, follow hospital rules and teaching arrangements, have no unjustified absence and no medical accidents.

4. Timing

One selection after each round of end-of-rotation examinations, three selections during the clinical internship.

5. Procedure

(1) Overseas Education College advisers and academic staff work with the clinical medical school’s teaching office to recommend an initial list.

(2) The college Student Award Review Leading Group conducts preliminary review and posts the list for 3 working days.

(3) Lists without objections go to the university International Student Award Review Leading Group for approval. After university-wide notice for 3 working days, results are announced.
