Nantong University Scholarship for International Students

1. Coverage and amounts

The university introduced its scholarship in 2015, offering approximately 40-50 places annually to attract students with strong language ability and academic backgrounds to undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Undergraduates receive RMB 10000/person. Master’s recipients receive tuition waivers. Doctoral recipients receive tuition and accommodation waivers, insurance expenses and RMB 3000/month living allowance.

2. Programs

Undergraduate: International Economics and Trade. All postgraduate programs accept applications.

3. Eligibility

Non-Chinese citizens in good health. Undergraduates must have a high-school qualification and be no older than 30. Master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree. Doctoral applicants must hold a master’s degree and be no older than 40.

4. Dates

March 1-June 30 each year.

6. Documents

1. Nantong University Study Application Form, generated after online completion.
2. Notarized highest qualification certificate. Current students also provide enrollment certification. Documents not in Chinese or English require notarized Chinese or English translations.
3. Academic transcripts, with notarized Chinese or English translations where needed.
4. Postgraduate applicants: study or research plan for China in English, at least 500 words.
5. Postgraduate applicants: recommendations from two professors or associate professors.
