Dalian University of Technology Liaoning Provincial Government Scholarship for International Students

For international students intending to pursue doctoral degrees.

Coverage and amounts

1. Tuition, miscellaneous and accommodation fee waivers.
2. Monthly living allowance of CNY 3,500/person.
3. Insurance expenses according to relevant rules.
4. International travel is self-funded.

Eligibility

1. Non-Chinese citizens in good health.
2. Comply with Chinese laws and university rules.
3. Hold a master’s degree recognized by China’s Ministry of Education and be no older than 40.
4. Have excellent results and recommendations from two professors.
5. Receive no other Chinese Government scholarship simultaneously.

Documents

1. Liaoning Provincial Government Scholarship Application Form, the standard provincial education department form, one original and one copy.
2. Notarized highest qualification certificate and transcripts. Current students or employed applicants also provide enrollment or employment certification. Documents not in Chinese or English require notarized Chinese or English translations.
3. HSK report according to host requirements, or IELTS 5.5 or above, TOEFL 80 or above, or English proficiency evidence.
4. Foreigner Physical Examination Record, standard Chinese health and quarantine form, and blood test report, originals and copies.
5. Study and research plan for China, at least 1,000 words.
6. Recommendations from two professors or associate professors at the graduating institution.
7. Supervisor acceptance letter.
8. Certificate of no criminal record.
9. Passport copy.

Timing

November to early March of the following year.

During that period, apply to the School of International Education and mail written documents, all in duplicate.
