Northeast Normal University Annual Scholarship for Outstanding Self-Funded International Students

I. Purpose

Encourage international students to study diligently and progress, improve the university’s reputation and attract more international students.

II. Eligibility

1. Northeast Normal University language and degree students, including undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students.
2. Compliance with Chinese law and university regulations, excellent results, a positive attitude, good character, respect for teachers, active participation in university activities and strong overall performance.

III. Assessment standards

Language students: Attend every course offered by the school each semester of the previous academic year, with no unexplained absence and excellent results.

Degree students:

1. Continuing students: take at least three courses each semester of the previous academic year and achieve the following results. The source does not supply the results or thresholds after this statement.
2. New students:
   • Undergraduates: excellent results throughout high school.
   • Master’s students: excellent results throughout undergraduate study.
   • Doctoral students: excellent results throughout master’s study or articles published in internationally renowned academic journals.

IV. Amounts

1. Language students: RMB 2000 per person per year.
2. Undergraduates: first prize RMB 6000, second RMB 4000, third RMB 2000 per person per year.
3. Master’s students: first prize RMB 8000, second RMB 5000, third RMB 3000 per person per year.
4. Doctoral students: first prize RMB 10000, second RMB 6000 per person per year.
