Central China Normal University “Study at CCNU” New Student Scholarship

1. Coverage and standards

Since 2009, Central China Normal University has operated a President’s Scholarship program with 50 places annually to attract university graduates with excellent language abilities and professional backgrounds for degree study.

• Full tuition waiver: 5 places.
• Half tuition waiver: 15 places.
• Tuition reduction of RMB 2000-8000: 30 places.

2. Programs

All degree programs open to international students.

3. Eligibility

Non-Chinese citizens in good health. Undergraduate applicants must have a high school education and be no older than 25; master’s applicants must hold undergraduate educational qualifications and a bachelor’s degree and be no older than 35; doctoral applicants must hold master’s-level qualifications and a master’s degree and be no older than 45.

4. Application period

April 20-May 20 each year.

Sign in to the online application system, , and select “Apply for Scholarship.”

6. Documents

1. CCNU Study Application Form, generated automatically after entering information online.
2. Notarized highest qualification certificate. Current students must also provide enrollment certification. Other-language documents require notarized Chinese or English translations.
3. Academic transcripts, with notarized Chinese or English translations for other languages.
4. Study or research plan for China of at least 500 words, written in English.
5. Recommendation letters from two professors or associate professors.
