Yangzhou University Scholarship for International Degree Students

1. Coverage and standards

To attract outstanding young people worldwide for degree study, Yangzhou University has established this scholarship for international bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral students. Undergraduates receive tuition and accommodation waivers. Master’s and doctoral students receive those waivers plus a monthly living allowance paid for 10 months each year.

All university programs are eligible.

3. Eligibility

Non-Chinese citizens in good health. Doctoral applicants must hold a master’s degree certificate or equivalent qualifications and be no older than 50; master’s applicants a bachelor’s degree certificate or equivalent, no older than 40; undergraduate applicants a high school graduation certificate or equivalent, no older than 30.

4. Application period

January-June 15 each year.

5. Procedure

Complete the online application at https://yzu.17gz.org/member/login.do and provide required documents.

6. Documents

1. Highest educational qualification certificate. Other-language documents require a Chinese or English translation issued by a formal translation agency.
2. Transcripts from the preceding educational stage, with a formal agency’s Chinese or English translation for other languages.
3. For master’s and doctoral applicants: two recommendation letters from relevant-field experts or professors, with a formal agency’s Chinese or English translation for other languages.
4. Study plan for master’s and doctoral applicants, in Chinese or English.
5. Valid passport information page.
6. Guarantee form.
7. Accommodation application form.
8. Insurance application form.
9. Foreigner Physical Examination Form, uniformly issued by China’s health quarantine authorities and completed in English. Complete every required examination item. Forms are invalid if items are missing, the photograph is absent, the photograph lacks a cross-page seal, or physician and hospital signatures and seals are missing.
10. HSK Level 4 or above result report, if available.
