University of Jinan President Scholarship

The program recruits outstanding international master’s and doctoral students for further study at the University of Jinan.

I. Categories and Programs

1. Only international master’s and doctoral students are eligible.
2. All master’s and doctoral programs recruit international students. Some may be taught in English; see program information.

II. Duration

Master’s: 3 years. Doctoral: 4 years. Students not graduating within this period no longer receive funding.

III. Coverage

1. Tuition.
2. Accommodation: single rooms for doctoral students, twin rooms for master’s students.
3. Living allowance: RMB 2000/month for doctoral students; master’s students pay their own living costs.
4. Comprehensive medical insurance.

IV. Eligibility

1. Non-Chinese citizenship, good physical and mental health, good conduct and no adverse credit or illegal record.
2. Master’s applicants should generally be no older than 30; doctoral applicants no older than 40.
3. Outstanding undergraduate or master’s graduates, or currently enrolled master’s or doctoral students; GPA should in principle be at least 3.0.
4. Priority for high-level papers in overseas academic journals or experience in overseas exchanges, study visits or internships.
5. Chinese-taught applicants need HSK Level 5 or above. English-taught applicants whose native or official language is not English need IELTS at least 6.5 or TOEFL at least 90.

VI. Documents

Submit truthfully:

1. University of Jinan International Student Admission Application Form.
2. Study plan of at least 1500 words.
3. Copies of graduation and degree certificates for the highest degree obtained and transcripts.
4. Copies of publications, awards and other academic achievements.
5. Two professor recommendations.
6. Language evidence.
