China University of Petroleum-Beijing Scholarship

Introduction

China University of Petroleum-Beijing established this scholarship to deepen reforms in international student education, attract outstanding international students for study and advanced training, further improve the quality of international student education, and continually strengthen its international influence and competitiveness. It follows the principles of the China University of Petroleum-Beijing Internationalization Strategy Action Plan (2013-2020), the China University of Petroleum-Beijing Implementation Opinions on Improving the Quality of International Student Education, and the China University of Petroleum-Beijing Opinions on Improving the Quality of International Postgraduate Education.

First-Class Standards

1. Tuition exemption throughout study.
2. Free on-campus international student apartments, standard twin rooms.
3. Living allowance paid for 10 months each year:
   • Undergraduate bachelor’s students: RMB 1800/month.
   • Master’s students: RMB 2000/month.
   • Doctoral students: RMB 2500/month.
   • Short-term visiting students: RMB 2000/month.
4. Comprehensive medical insurance.

Second-Class Standards

1. Tuition exemption throughout study.
2. Free standard twin-room international apartments on campus.
3. Comprehensive medical insurance.

Third-Class Standards

Eligibility

1. Confirmed international student status, good health and compliance with laws and rules.
2. Academic results meeting scholarship standards, GPA ≥3.0.
3. Chinese-taught applicants need appropriate Chinese proficiency and evidence. Non-native English speakers applying for English-taught programs need IELTS ≥6.5; TOEFL ≥80. Official institutional proof of at least two years of entirely English-taught undergraduate or postgraduate study may replace IELTS or TOEFL. Applicants whose native or official language is English are encouraged to apply for English-taught programs.
