I. Coverage and Standards

1. Degree students: first-class awards cover 100% of annual tuition, second-class awards 50%. Living allowance is RMB 10000/person/year, paid over 10 months.
2. Individual achievement awards: RMB 5000/person/year.

III. Eligibility

1. Non-Chinese citizenship, valid ordinary passport and good health.
2. Compliance with Chinese laws and university rules.
3. Bachelor’s: high school or equivalent, generally no older than 25; master’s: bachelor’s degree, generally no older than 35; doctoral: master’s degree, generally no older than 40.
4. No Chinese Government or other institutional scholarship.

March 1-July 1 each year.

V. Procedure

Mail or deliver paper documents to the School of International Education.

VI. Documents

1. International Student Admission Application Form, collected from or downloaded through the school.
2. Passport copy.
3. Notarized highest qualification with Chinese or English translation.
4. Transcripts with Chinese or English translation.
5. Study or research plan of at least 500 words, in Chinese or English.
6. Two recommendations in Chinese or English.
7. Original HSK certificate for new students; previous-year transcript for enrolled students.
8. For outstanding individual awards, original evidence of publications or awards during the past year in academics, sport, arts, cultural exchanges or social activities.

After the first academic year, recipients undergo annual review. Only those passing continue funding.
