The scholarship covers all undergraduate, master’s and doctoral programs:

1. Registration and tuition exemption.
2. Free on-campus accommodation.

Mainly Southeast and South Asian countries, with consideration for others.

Categories and requirements:

1. Chinese-language visiting students: high school graduation or above, no older than 35.
2. Undergraduate: high school qualification, excellent results and no older than 25.
3. Master’s: bachelor’s degree, excellent results and no older than 35.
4. Doctoral: master’s degree, excellent results; age no greater than … years, with no number supplied in the source.
5. Specialist visiting students: no further requirements supplied in the source.

Applicants need Chinese proficiency meeting admission requirements, based on HSK, except Chinese-language visiting students.

Submit truthfully:

1. Provincial scholarship form, uniformly printed by the Yunnan Provincial Education Department: one original and one copy, in Chinese or English and signed. Download: http://202.203.144.4:9001
2. Passport identification page copy.
3. Notarized highest qualification and transcripts. Current students or employed applicants also provide enrollment or employment evidence. Other languages require notarized Chinese or English translations.
4. Two professor recommendations for master’s applicants.
5. HSK report at Level 3 or above, except Chinese-language students.
6. Study plan in Chinese or English.
7. Copy of the Foreigner Physical Examination Form uniformly printed by Chinese health and quarantine authorities.

Admission and Notification

University experts assess documents on merit and submit selections to the provincial education department. In early July, the university mails the Admission Notice, Visa Application Form for Study in China JW202 and related materials.
