Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine Academic Excellence Scholarship for Self-Funded International Postgraduates

This scholarship rewards enrolled self-funded international master’s and doctoral students.

I. Eligibility

1. Second-year self-funded international master’s or doctoral students, including part-time students paying full tuition to the university, excluding jointly trained international postgraduates.
2. Excellent conduct and active participation in university academic activities.
3. All first-year courses passed, average at least 80, and all postgraduate assessments passed.
4. No simultaneous Chinese Government Scholarship, except the Outstanding Self-Funded Student Scholarship, Shanghai Government International Student Scholarship or the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine subject scholarship and bursary for international postgraduates.

II. Amounts

Master’s: RMB 5000. Doctoral: RMB 6000.

III. Places

2 master’s and 1 doctoral student annually.

IV. Documents

1. Scholarship application form.
2. Annual transcript or assessment form.

V. Application and Review

1. Eligible students apply under the assessment notice and submit the form to the International Students Section, International Education College. Repeat applications during enrollment are not allowed.
2. The section reviews and signs its opinion, then submits to the college. Proposed recipients are posted for at least 3 working days. If no objections arise, applicants are notified.
3. Recipients must pay the current year’s full tuition before receiving the award. Disciplinary sanctions or withdrawal before payment for violations of Chinese laws or university rules cancel eligibility.

VI. Other Provisions

These rules enter trial implementation upon promulgation and are interpreted by the International Education College.
