Xiangtan University Scholarship for Outstanding International Students

The Xiangtan University Scholarship for Outstanding International Students rewards undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students who study diligently, pursue their academic work with dedication, and achieve excellent results at the university.

Each academic year, the scholarship is awarded to 15% of the total number of international degree students enrolled at the university. The annual award is RMB 3000 per undergraduate student, RMB 4000 per master’s student, and RMB 5000 per doctoral student.

Eligibility for the Xiangtan University Scholarship for Outstanding International Students:

(1) International degree students already registered at the university.

(2) Compliance with Chinese laws and regulations and Xiangtan University’s rules.

(3) A positive attitude toward learning and diligent study, with no unexcused absences, late arrivals, or early departures, and a class attendance rate of at least 95%.

(4) Excellent academic results.

(5) Active participation and good performance in student activities organized by the university.

Students who have received disciplinary penalties for violating Chinese laws and regulations or university rules may not be considered for the scholarship.

Application procedure for the Xiangtan University Scholarship for Outstanding International Students:

(1) Application period: September 15 to September 25 each year. Selection takes place once per academic year.

(2) Eligible applicants must submit the following documents to their school or department:

1. Xiangtan University Scholarship Application Form for Outstanding International Students.

2. Final examination transcripts for the previous academic year.

Students must apply for the scholarship themselves. Their school or department provides a recommendation and signs its comments on the application. The application form is then submitted to the International Students Department Office, College of International Exchange, for assessment by the college’s review committee.
