Dalian Maritime University Dalian Municipal Government Scholarship for International Students

1. Coverage

The municipal government established this scholarship to expand and improve international education and encourage outstanding students and scholars to study in Dalian. It mainly supports tuition. It reduces the next academic year’s tuition by up to RMB 15000 for master’s students and RMB 10000 for undergraduates.

2. Recipients

(1) Registered full-time, self-funded second- and third-year international undergraduates.

(2) Registered full-time, self-funded second-year international master’s students.

3. Eligibility

(1) Comply with Chinese laws and university rules.

(2) Respect Chinese customs and maintain friendship among peoples.

(3) Respect teachers, get along with students and have good conduct.

(4) Excellent results, classroom performance and attendance.

(5) Participate in at least one university-organized activity or competition at university level or above during the assessed semester/year. Priority for strong achievements or outstanding university contributions with broad positive response.

4. Dates

November each year.

5. Procedure

(1) Annual selection by the International Education College scholarship committee, which determines a shortlist and organizes a defense.

(2) The committee determines final recipients and publishes the list. Objections must be raised within three working days.

(3) College leaders issue certificates after the announcement period passes without objections.

(2) Preceding academic-year transcript.

(3) Certificates or evidence of competition and activity participation during university study.
