Fujian Normal University President Scholarship

I. Scholarship Coverage, Standards and Available Programs

Applications are accepted for all programs at Fujian Normal University, at undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels. Scholarship recipients are exempt from accommodation and tuition fees.

III. Eligibility

(1) Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens in good health.

(2) Educational qualification and age requirements:

① Undergraduate applicants must have completed senior high school or above and should, in principle, be no older than 30.

② Master’s applicants must have graduated from university or hold a higher qualification and should, in principle, be no older than 35.

③ Doctoral applicants must have completed a master’s program or above and should, in principle, be no older than 40.

(3) Language requirements:

Undergraduate programs: humanities applicants must reach new HSK Level 5; science applicants must reach new HSK Level 4. The undergraduate Chinese language program accepts students with no prior Chinese knowledge.

Master’s programs: humanities applicants must reach new HSK Level 5; science applicants must reach new HSK Level 4.

Doctoral programs: humanities applicants must reach new HSK Level 5; science applicants must reach new HSK Level 4.

(4) Applicants receiving financial awards or support from the Chinese government or other organizations are not eligible to receive the Fujian Normal University President Scholarship.

V. Application Period and Materials

Applications for the President Scholarship are open throughout the year.

Applicants must truthfully complete and submit the following materials:

(1) Complete the Fujian Provincial Scholarship Program Application Form for International Students online.

(2) Notarized proof of highest educational qualification and academic transcripts.

(3) The Foreigner Physical Examination Form (uniformly printed by China’s health and quarantine authorities).

(4) A study or research plan of 400 words or more.

(5) Applicants for arts programs, such as music and fine arts, must submit relevant examples of their own work as required by the university.

(6) Applicants under 18 must submit relevant legal documents for their legal guardian in China.

(7) Application materials will not be returned, whether or not the application is approved.
