China Three Gorges University Scholarship for International Students

Program overview

The China Three Gorges University Scholarship for International Students was established by the university to attract more international students. It waives all or part of the tuition for the relevant programs. Students pay other expenses according to the university’s annual fee standards. Scholarship places are allocated on a first-to-register basis. Failure in any examination or disciplinary misconduct results in cancellation of the scholarship for the following academic year.

Programs covered in the 2018–2019 academic year

• Bachelor’s in Hydraulic and Hydropower Engineering, taught in English: conditional tuition scholarship for 4 years.
• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, taught in English: conditional tuition scholarship for 4 years.
• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and Automation, taught in English: conditional partial tuition scholarship for 4 years.
• Bachelor’s in Automation, taught in English: conditional partial tuition scholarship for 4 years.

Eligibility

1. Foreign citizens aged 18–25.
2. Friendly toward China, in good physical and mental health, diligent and academically excellent.
3. High school graduates.
4. Good English listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
5. Priority is given to applicants with some basic Chinese knowledge.

Application materials

1. China Three Gorges University Admission Application Form for International Students, printed online and personally signed.
2. A copy of a valid ordinary passport.
3. Applicants in China must submit copies of their visa and residence documents.
4. High school graduation certificate. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English require notarized English or Chinese translations.
5. Transcripts. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English require notarized English or Chinese translations.
6. A Foreigner Physical Examination Report.
7. A bank deposit certificate or financial guarantee letter.
8. A 5-minute personal introduction video in English.
