China University of Geosciences (Beijing)

China University of Geosciences (Beijing) is located on Xueyuan Road in Beijing’s Haidian District, an area with many universities and a strong academic atmosphere. Founded in 1952, it is a multidisciplinary national key university directly administered by the Ministry of Education, distinguished by geology, resources, environment and geoscience engineering technology and combining science, engineering, literature, management, economics and law. It was one of the first 33 Chinese universities to formally establish a graduate school and one of the first to join the national “211 Project.” It can admit international students receiving the Chinese Government Scholarship and Beijing Government Scholarship for International Students.

The university has 17 schools, including Earth Sciences and Resources, Geophysics and Information Technology, Gemmology, Marine Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Materials Science and Engineering, Information Engineering, Water Resources and Environment, Energy Resources, Economics and Management, Artificial Intelligence, Land Science and Technology, Foreign Languages, and Physical Education, as well as multiple laboratories and research centers.

Since its founding, the university has trained over 40000 graduates, of whom 73 have become academicians and 1 has become premier of the country.

It admits international students for doctoral, master’s and undergraduate degrees, Chinese language study, senior advanced study and general advanced study.

CSC postgraduate and undergraduate programs begin each September, with applications due before the end of March. Self-funded and Chinese language programs begin each September, with applications due at the end of June.
