How do I check whether a scholarship fits my application?

Read the scholarship policy, then check the notice for the current application round. Being listed in a scholarship directory does not establish that the scholarship is open now or applies to every program at the university.

Check tuition, accommodation, living allowance, insurance, funding duration and any renewal conditions separately. A partial scholarship may cover only some costs. Do not assume that “scholarship available” means all study and living expenses will be paid.

Which conditions should I compare with my circumstances?

Section titled “Which conditions should I compare with my circumstances?”

Check the intended degree, nationality restrictions, previous qualification, age, language evidence, academic requirements and any CSCA requirements. A policy can contain different conditions for undergraduate and graduate applicants; use the section that applies to your route.

Confirm the responsible institution and the official application channel. University admission, scholarship selection and document submission can involve separate steps. If an agency number or program category is required, obtain it from the institution’s current instructions; a directory page key is not an official agency number.

Use dates explicitly linked to your application year and route. A historical date or a recurring month-and-day range in an old policy must be checked again before you rely on it. Confirm when the institution needs test results and original documents as well as the application deadline.

Explore the scholarship policies, choose the relevant policy and contact its official receiving institution to confirm the current round. Prepare a program-specific document checklist.
