Beijing Technology and Business University is a high-level research university receiving priority development in Beijing. It was formed in June 1999 through the merger of Beijing Institute of Business, Beijing Institute of Light Industry and the Institute of Machinery Industry Management Cadres. Distinguished by business, light industry and food, it supports coordinated development in science, engineering, economics, management, law, literature, arts and agriculture, with a complete undergraduate, master’s and doctoral education system. It has 4 faculties, 10 schools and 3 residential colleges. It has 1658 faculty and staff, including 1122 full-time teachers. Its Fucheng Road and Liangxiang campuses cover 830000 square meters. It has 7 first-level doctoral authorizations, 19 first-level master’s authorizations, 22 professional master’s authorizations and 62 undergraduate programs. Seven disciplines rank in the global ESI top 1%. Following an integrated industry-and-business development philosophy, it is accelerating toward “Double First-Class” discipline development university status.
